Alfred H Knight has an exciting opportunity for a Sample Preparation Technician to join the team in Selby.
You will work as part of the Drax Sample & Sample Preparation team, undertaking sampling and sample preparation duties in line with AHKES methods and procedures.
You will be responsible for conducting laboratory-based physical testing of wood pellets for particle size, bulk density and mechanical durability, collecting samples from customer sites/ports and delivering the samples to AHK preparation facilities, and carrying out cargo inspections on board ships and in storage sheds as required.

Required Knowledge and

- Minimum 1 year experience of inspection and sample preparation analysis, particularly with coal or biomass business streams (desirable but not essential).
Required Qualifications:
- Full UK driving licence.
Desirable
Qualifications:
- CSCS Safety Passport.
Travel/Rotation Requirements:
- Travel and work rotations as dictated by work schedules and the needs of the business.
