Irrigation Technician Trainee

You'll be responsible for diagnosing and monitoring irrigation systems to ensure the plant material is getting the proper amount of water. The Irrigation Tech is responsible for diagnosing and monitoring irrigation systems to ensure the plant material is getting the proper amount of water. The tech will start up the irrigation systems, and be able to do adjustments and winterizations.

• Demonstrated skill and ability to servicing, repairing, and troubleshoot residential and commercial irrigation systems.
• Advanced knowledge of all associated tools involved in the irrigation industry.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Responsible to service new and existing irrigation systems to ensure they are working properly
• Ability to read blueprints to ensure proper locations of heads and zones.
• Install repair, and replace valves, timers, solenoids, main lines, laterals and sleeves
• Basic understanding of technology.
• Meet the clients on the job site.
• Must have a clear understanding of the philosophies by which the company operates, and the short-and long-term goals of the irrigation department
• Have a clear understanding of the hourly and cost budgets for each of the jobs. Monitor by reviewing job hours, reports, and job costs regularly and taking action as needed

Qualifications:

Driver's license. Has a troubleshooting mindset, along with an aptitude for embracing challenges. Should show willingness and eagerness to learn, interest in the field, and promote a customer service mindset.

First-Visit Fix Rate:80-90% of issues resolved without a return visit

Mean Time to Repair:≤2-3 hours to restore system operation

System Uptime:98–99% of zones operational during irrigation season
