Salary Range: $22.00 To $27.00 Hourly
SUMMARY:The Universal Service Representative is a versatile role that combines the responsibilities of a Teller and a Member Service Representative. This position is responsible for providing excellent Member service, handling financial transactions and offering products to meet the needs of our Members.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:- Greet and assist customers with their banking needs in a friendly and professional manner.
- Process a variety of financial transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, transfers, and loan payments.
- Open and maintain member accounts, including checking, savings, and certificate of deposits.
- Provide information and guidance on banking products and services.
- Identify and address member needs by recommending appropriate financial solutions.
- Resolve customer inquiries and issues promptly and efficiently.
- Maintain accurate records of transactions and ensure compliance with banking regulations and policies.
- Assist with branch operations, including balancing cash drawers and maintaining security protocols.
- Actively identify opportunities to strengthen member relationships through referrals, product recommendations and financial solution conversations.
- Ability to provide coverage to any of our branches as business needs require
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
- Assist members with digital banking services, including online banking enrollment, mobile banking, e-statements, and troubleshooting access issues.
- Process and maintain debit card requests, ATM card services, stop payments, check orders, and account maintenance requests.
- Support consumer lending activities by gathering application information, processing referrals, and assisting members with loan-related inquiries.
- Conduct member outreach and relationship-building activities to deepen existing relationships and promote member retention.
- Meet established referral and service goals by identifying opportunities for additional credit union products and services.
- Adhere to Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), Anti-Money Laundering (AML), OFAC, and all applicable regulatory requirements.
- Assist with branch opening and closing procedures as assigned.
- Maintain a working knowledge of all credit union products, services, policies, and procedures.
- Participate in branch sales campaigns, community events, and member engagement initiatives as needed.
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- 1 – 3 years of sales experience.
- Complete registration with NMLS within 30 days.
- Complete Signature Guarantee training within 30 days.
- Obtain Lending Authority within 180 days.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills
- Ability to prioritize, pay close attention to detail, and coordinate various activities simultaneously.
- Ability to communicate with co-workers, management, and business contacts in a courteous and professional manner.
