Repairs Operative

Location:

Selkirk (with travel to sites across Scotland and the UK as required)

Salary: £13.62 to £15.39 per hour

Panton McLeod is a specialist contractor delivering high-quality repair, maintenance and structural solutions across the UK's water and infrastructure sectors. We are looking for hardworking, safety-focused Repairs Operatives to join our growing team based out of Selkirk.

As a Repairs Operative, you'll be responsible for carrying out a variety of repair works safely and efficiently across a range of infrastructure projects. You’ll help deliver projects to the highest standards while ensuring safety remains the top priority.

This is a physically demanding, site-based role that includes routine confined space working and regular travel across Scotland and the UK.

Responsibilities
  • Carrying out concrete repairs, structural repairs, coatings and linings, pipework, civils and groundwork activities.
  • Working safely in accordance with approved RAMS and method statements.
  • Setting up and maintaining safe working areas, including barriers, signage and access equipment.
  • Mixing, applying and finishing repair materials to manufacturer specifications.
  • Using hand tools, power tools and small plant safely and correctly.
  • Completing pre-use equipment inspections and reporting defects.
  • Maintaining clean, safe and organised work areas.
  • Working collaboratively with Site Supervisors and fellow operatives to deliver projects on time and to a high standard.
Qualifications
  • Experience working within construction, infrastructure, utilities or engineering.
  • Experience using hand and power tools.
  • Ability to work at height safely and in confined spaces.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
