- Maintain all vehicles and equipment in good running order through periodic and regular maintenance.
- Perform maintenance and mechanical repairs, including oil changes, tune ups, and visual checks of tires, transmissions, and hydraulics as needed or at regular intervals.
- Perform repairs outside of the shop and/or after hours as needed.
- Coordinate and communicate with outside contractors engaged by the Company to ensure maintenance and repair work is completed according to specifications, on-time, and on-budget.
- Deliver and pick up trucks and vehicles or equipment parts for outside repairs as needed.
- Initiate requisitions with the parts and service suppliers for parts needed, with the approval of the Purchasing and Facilities Manager.
- Maintain the parts stock room, and truck and equipment part bins in a neat and safe condition.
- Maintain the garage, ensuring it is kept in a neat, orderly, and safe condition.
- Complete required paperwork to track services and repairs, keep accounting informed of part inventory, and ensure maintenance reports on all vehicles are up-to-date.
- Track own work to ensure time is properly charged to the correct accounts
