We are seeking a compassionate, energetic, and creative Activities Assistant to join our team at Maple Manor Christian Home. The Activities Assistant supports the planning, coordination, and implementation of recreational programs and events that promote the physical, mental, and emotional well-being of our residents.

• Maintaining workspace.
• Lead group and individual recreational activities such as games, arts and crafts, music, exercise classes, and outings.
• Encourage resident participation and adapt activities to meet the needs and abilities of all residents.
• Help transport residents to and from activity areas as needed.
• Decorate activity areas for events and holidays to create a festive and engaging environment.
• Document resident participation and report any changes in behavior or health to appropriate staff.
• Collaborate with nursing, dietary, and other departments to support resident care and engagement.
• Assist with welcoming and orienting new residents to activity programs.

• Previous experience in a healthcare or senior living setting preferred, but not required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to motivate and engage older adults with a variety of needs and abilities.
• Must be patient, reliable, creative, and enthusiastic.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including some evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• CPR/First Aid certification is a plus.

• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and assist residents with mobility during activities.
