Material Supervisor Details

We are seeking a Material Supervisor to support C Crew operations in Sellersburg, IN. This role is responsible for supervising material technicians plant?wide in support of shipping, receiving, and production.
The ideal candidate is a hands?on, data?driven leader with a strong background in logistics or materials within a high?volume manufacturing or warehouse environment, preferably in the automotive industry.
Responsibilities- Supervise material technicians supporting shipping, receiving, and production operations
- Support Operations and Material Coordinators to ensure on?time shipments
- Assist the Materials Manager with budget performance and overtime control
- Conduct employee reviews and administer disciplinary actions as needed
- Lead special projects related to inventory control, cost savings, and material flow improvements
- Ensure shipping documentation is accurate and completed on time
- Oversee truck schedules, drivers, and shipping windows
- Coordinate packaging methods and material rack storage to meet production and customer requirements
- Partner with production teams to ensure daily shipment schedules are met
- Foster a safety?first culture and ensure compliance with all safety and emergency procedures
- Maintain organized, clean, and audit?ready plant conditions
- Document activities and support facility?wide special projects as assigned
- High School Diploma or GED required (college degree preferred)
- 3–5 years of supervisory experience in a high?volume manufacturing or warehouse environment (Automotive or automotive supplier experience preferred)
- Strong background in traffic, logistics, or material planning
- Working knowledge of material management systems such as WMS, SAP, GMOS, CMMS
, or similar - Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work in an office and plant environment; sit and stand for extended periods
- Valid driver’s license; up to 5% travel
