SIT-DOWN FORKLIFT DRIVER - SELLERSBURG, IN

TEMP TO HIRE | $17.25/HR | FRI&SAT, 6A-6P/ SAT&SUN, 6P-6A

Express Employment Professionals is hiring Sit-Down Forklift Operators with at least 1 year recent sit-down forklift experience in Sellersburg, IN. This is a temp-to-hire position working the following schedule:
Friday and Saturday 6AM to 6PM and Sunday and Monday 6PM to 6A.M.

• Operate sit down, propane forklift.
• Pick, move, and store materials using scanners, tablets, and other electronic equipment.
• Maintain accurate inventory and follow FIFO (First In, First Out) procedures.
• Store materials in the correct locations and maintain proper stacking heights.
• Load, unload, and organize materials as needed.
• Sort, count, record, and organize dunnage for storage and return to suppliers.
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe storage areas.
• Ensure materials and containers are stacked safely and securely.
• Report damaged containers, inventory issues, scan errors, and other problems to a supervisor.
• Complete required documentation and accurately record material movements.
• Perform pre-operation inspections on powered industrial trucks and report maintenance issues.
• Maintain current powered industrial truck certification and complete required training.
• Assist with plant inventories and material reorganization.
• Remove cardboard, operate the baler, and place completed bales in designated trailers.
• Support plant-wide housekeeping and material organization efforts.
• Follow all company safety, quality, and emergency procedures.
• Immediately report accidents, injuries, or property damage.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

• Wear all required personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Follow dock and warehouse safety procedures.
• Practice safe forklift and equipment operation.
• Maintain clear access to doorways and pedestrian areas.
• Use safe practices when stacking and unstacking materials.
• Report unsafe conditions or equipment issues immediately.

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Powered Industrial Truck/Forklift certification required.
• Basic computer skills.
• Good written and mathematical skills.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to follow quality and safety procedures.
• Automotive or manufacturing experience preferred.
• Ability to maintain confidential information.

• Ability to stand and sit for extended periods in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Occasional climbing, carrying, pushing, pulling, gripping, grasping, and reaching.
• Ability to work at heights up to 25 feet.
• Good hand-eye coordination.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse/manufacturing environment.

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• 2+ years of Sit Down Forklift experience.
• Basic mathematical skills.
• Ability to read/write English for documentation purposes.
