Primary
Purpose:
Answer telephone, direct calls to appropriate department and provide general information regarding track events.
- Greet and welcome guests as soon as they arrive at the office.
- Direct visitors to the appropriate person and office.
- Answer, screen, and forward incoming phone calls.
- Provide information on events in-person and via phone/email. If more detailed information is needed, route the call to the appropriate department.
- Ensure reception area is tidy and presentable, with all necessary stationery and material (e.g. pens, forms, and racing calendars)
- Prepare all outgoing mail as well as distribute incoming mail to appropriate mailboxes.
- Receive all income deliveries and notify appropriate department of the arrival of deliveries. Arrange for outside couriers as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
Certification/
Education:
High school diplomas or equivalent work experience.
Work Experience:
1 year prior receptionist/clerical experience preferred.
- Excellent telephone skills.
- Microsoft Word and Excel experience a plus.
- Good people and communication skills.
