Job Summary
The Materials Specialist will assist the Materials Department by supporting inventory management, material planning, data tracking, and logistics coordination activities. This role will work closely with the Materials and Purchasing teams to help ensure accurate material flow, inventory control, and timely support of production requirements.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Support material inventory tracking and data management activities.
- Assist with monitoring inventory movement and material flow.
- Support material planning and coordination based on production schedules.
- Assist with SAP transactions, data entry, and inventory updates.
- Help organize and maintain inventory records and related documentation.
- Assist with cycle counts and inventory accuracy verification.
- Support communication and coordination with suppliers and internal departments.
- Participate in logistics and warehouse coordination activities as assigned.
- Support continuous improvement activities related to material handling and inventory processes.
- Perform other administrative and departmental support duties as assigned.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Must be able to lift, push and pull 50 pounds.
- Must be fit to wear various types of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), if required.
- Must be capable of basic mathematics and measurements.
- Must be self-motivated and require little supervision.
- Good written and verbal skills.
- Ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work within a team environment.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, time management, organizational skills, and ability to multi-task.
- Ability to work rotating shifts including weekends, holidays, and plant shut downs.
- Bilingual in Korean and English preferred.
Education/Training/Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, Industrial Engineering, or a related field preferred.
- STEM OPT holders are highly preferred.
E-2 Visa sponsorship available upon OPT expiration.
