RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work as an Operating Room Nurse demonstrating critical thinking skills and scientific judgment

•

Schedule:

Monday through Friday, either 5 x 8 hour shifts or 4 x 10 hour shifts

• Work as a member of the surgical team alongside surgeons, anesthesiologists, ORTs and other personnel

• Responsibilities include ensuring supplies, maintaining timeliness of cases, communicating with families

• Update physician preference cards and scrub/assist physicians during surgical cases

• Supervise personnel delivering patient care in the operating room environment

• Must have 4 years recent OR RN experience in a hospital setting

• Experience required as OR Circulator with Endoscopy experience

• OR specialties required:
Endoscopy, Orthopedic, and General surgery

• Preferred experience in ENT and GYN specialties

• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, and PALS (must be through American Heart Association)

• Alabama RN license required

• Provide patient care according to State Nurse Practice Act, AORN and regulatory standards

• Follow physician orders and hospital/surgical department policies and procedures
