Vaughan Regional Medical Center is seeking a full time CRNA to join our team.

In this role you will administer anesthetic care for patients requiring anesthesia, sedation, and/or pain relief therapy. This position requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.

Perform a pre‑anesthetic assessment, documentation and patient education.

Administer pre‑anesthesia medication and anesthesia (general, regional, local, or moderate sedation).

Develop and implement a plan of care, including post‑anesthesia follow‑up evaluation and care.

Provide invasive and non‑invasive monitoring of the patient’s condition and respond to abnormal responses.

Assist with providing emergent care by airway management; administering emergency fluids, blood, drugs; and performing life support techniques.

Perform clinical support functions, managing materials and supplies, and developing clinical policies and procedures.

Work efficiently in a stressful environment and take appropriate action as needed.

Reports to:

Chief CRNA.

Minimum education:

Master’s degree (must be a graduate of an Anesthesia Education Program) – required.

Required licenses:
Anesthetist, Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) licensed by the Alabama Board of Nursing and the National Board of Certification & Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA).

Current Registered Nurse (RN) license to practice in the state of Alabama.

Required certifications:

• Basic Life Support (BLS) – must be current within 30 days from hire date.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) – must be current within 6 months from hire date.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) – must be current within 6 months from hire date.
