Travel RN – Operating Room (OR)

Selma, AL | Acute Care

Contract | 13 Weeks | Days | Monday–Friday, 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM | On-call required (approximately 7 days per month, including one weekend per month, from 3:00 PM – 6:30 AM)

• Demonstrate critical thinking, scientific judgment, and leadership in the anticipation and planning of patient care within the operating room
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, OR technicians, and other personnel to deliver patient care in accordance with the State Nurse Practice Act, AORN standards, and facility policies
• Perform OR circulator duties, including ensuring availability of supplies, maintaining timeliness of cases, and communicating with patient families
• Scrub and assist physicians during surgical cases across required specialties including Endoscopy, Orthopedic, and General Surgery
• Update and maintain physician preference cards and supervise personnel delivering patient care

• Active Alabama RN license or multi-state RN license
• ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications required (must be through the American Heart Association)
• Minimum 4 years of recent OR RN experience in a hospital setting
• OR Circulator experience with Endoscopy experience required
• Proficiency in Endoscopy, Orthopedic, and General Surgery specialties required

• Experience in ENT and/or GYN surgical specialties
• Prior travel nursing experience

• Opportunity to work as part of a dynamic surgical team in a variety of OR specialties within a supportive acute care environment
• 13-week contract with a consistent daytime schedule, Monday through Friday
