Job Summary

Develop, coordinate, and facilitate the implementation of process improvement efforts. The engineer will take a lead role in analyzing potential product and/or process improvements and must be able to work effectively in a team environment with and/or leading team members, team leaders, management and support staff. Responsible for improving and maintaining the quality management system.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities
  • Assist in the development and implementation of documented information and training to eliminate potential for product quality issues and meet customer expectations.
  • Assist in development and ensure adherence to documented information used to define and document the Quality Management System.
  • Interface with Engineering, Manufacturing and Purchasing personnel to ensure the final product meets specified customer requirements.
  • Assist in ensuring all employees adhere to the requirements of the Quality Management System.
  • Perform product/process analysis for cost reduction, quality improvement and improved efficiency.
  • Communicate interdepartmentally to resolve issues with a focus on root cause analysis and implement process corrections.
  • Work with Strategic/Tactical Sourcing and/or Materials to address vendor-related defects, working with vendors to reduce cost and improve reliability.
  • Improve and develop current testing processes and procedures with special respect to controls sequences and programming.
  • Track, analyze and report trends and KPIs relating to product/process quality.
  • Lead facility-based investigative actions into warranty issues, product and customer complaints, and internal non-conformances.
  • Compile and prepare data to determine root cause and preventive measures.
  • Maintain documented information in the quality system database.
  • Perform and/or lead process audits to assess compliance and capability.
  • Lead implementation of basic and advanced quality control tools.

  • Product Knowledge – applies sound product knowledge and a well-developed understanding of customers' processes to create or support the creation of new products adding value.
  • Operational Excellence – applies knowledge of Total Cost Management, Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement Methods; seeks continuous improvements to create added value and ensures adherence to company quality systems and guidelines.
  • Quality Management – demonstrates quality mindset about quality systems and practices, applying this knowledge as part of daily work routine.
  • Proactive – must be self‑motivated and goal-oriented, with strong personal drive for success.
  • Organizational and time‑management skills are critical; must be willing and able to lead implementation of improvement actions.
Job Qualifications
  • Lean Six Sigma Certification preferred.
  • 3‑5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • HVAC/R experience a plus.
  • Strong background in continuous improvement and problem‑solving using tools like 8D or similar.
  • Auditing proficiency.
  • ISO 9001:2015 certification is a plus.
