Technician, Refrigeration​/HVAC

Position Summary

As a Supermarket Rack Refrigeration HVAC Technician at a local Walmart retail store, you will support and oversee repair of the store’s refrigeration HVAC equipment and assets, utilizing commercial HVAC and refrigeration skills.

• Maintain and repair Walmart facility’s refrigeration HVAC equipment and assets using commercial HVAC and refrigeration skills.
• Utilize the work order management system to receive repair work orders, support store associates, and document repair activities.
• Provide prompt response to emergency maintenance calls.
• Inspect, operate, or test facilities, equipment, or fixtures to diagnose issues.
• Complete all required training requirements to operate equipment and tools safely.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations by performing work per Walmart Refrigeration HVAC safety policy and environmental guidelines.
• Lift up to 75 pounds, move on and off ladders, and comfortably work at heights.

• Vocational or technical HVAC/R certification.
• Two years of experience in mechanical maintenance or construction-related field for commercial HVAC/R and building controls; or four years of such experience.
• Type I/Type II EPA certification for refrigerant handling.
• Valid, state-issued driver’s license with a clean driving record and ability to pass an MVR.
• Age 18 or older and a high school diploma or equivalent.

• Completion of a 2-year vocational or technical HVAC/R program.
• Mechanical license in the city and/or state where the job is located.

Hourly wage range: $23.00 - $45.00. Additional premiums may apply. Eligible for bonus incentives.
