Responsibilities:- Perform general carpentry, construction, repair, and maintenance work.
- Measure, cut, assemble, and install materials according to specifications.
- Read and accurately use a tape measure.
- Construct, repair, and install structures, framing, doors, trim, and other carpentry components.
- Use hand and power tools safely and effectively.
- Read and follow plans, drawings, specifications, and work instructions.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area.
- Work safely on ladders, lifts, and other equipment as required.
- Perform work both indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Travel to local job sites as needed.
- Follow all company, customer, and military installation safety and security requirements.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Previous carpentry or construction experience required.
- Must be able to read and accurately use a tape measure.
- Must provide and maintain your own basic hand tools, including, but not limited to:
- Pliers
- Tape measure
- Utility knife
- Other basic carpentry hand tools
- Must be comfortable working outdoors and in various weather conditions.
- Valid driver's license required.
- Must be able to travel locally between job sites.
- Must be dependable, punctual, and able to work independently.
- Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Must be able to safely lift, carry, and maneuver materials and equipment as required for the position.
- Must successfully complete a pre-employment criminal background check and drug screen.
- For projects supporting federal contracts or work performed on military installations, must be able to satisfy all applicable federal background screening, security, credentialing, and installation-access requirements.
- Experience working on commercial, industrial, federal, or military projects.
- Experience with framing, drywall, trim, doors, concrete forms, or general building maintenance.
- OSHA or other construction-related safety training.
- Ability to read basic construction drawings or blueprints.
