Position: Bus Driver (Substitute)

Responsibilities

  • Provide safe and efficient transportation for students of the Selma City Schools.
  • Observe all mandatory safety regulations and obey all traffic laws for school buses.
  • Maintain discipline and report undisciplined students to the proper authority.
  • Display personal conduct which sets an example for students to emulate.
  • Keep assigned bus clean.
  • Check bus before and after each operation for mechanical defects.
  • Notify the proper authority in case of mechanical failure, lateness, or accidents, and complete required reports.
  • Transport only authorized students and discharge students only at authorized stops.
  • Perform other duties as required.
    • Minimum Requirements
  • Valid CDL License.
  • State bus driver's certificate.
  • Ability to drive safely and maintain order on school bus.
  • Ability to follow instruction.
