Job SummaryLead the assigned sales team to deliver profitable, sustainable growth. Serve as the primary commercial contact for customer shipping requirements, while building and managing a high‑quality portfolio of customers and opportunities. Partner directly with customers to develop, secure, and retain the most profitable business, and coach the team to consistent, data‑driven performance.
Responsibilities- Responsible for the Sales Budget and Trade BSA on the services operated in his/her geography
- Deliver the agreed number of active accounts
- Ensure sales pipeline remains consistent, accurate, and up to date
- Hold a reasonable number of strategic accounts, still allowing sufficient time for monitoring the sales performance and coaching
- Participate in a minimum number of weekly joint sales calls/visits organized by his/her team
- Conduct sales account planning, pipeline management and performance management
- Negotiate strategic business opportunities and local tenders (with Trade GCAM support)
- Handle and resolve customer escalations when needed
- Conduct Quarterly Business Review with key local customers
- Works closely with all department heads to assure specific customers’ needs are handled appropriately
- Report sales‑related matters to Senior Management meeting
- Discuss with Trade Management teams on strategic rate requests
- Provide weekly feedback on market intelligence
- Ensure his/her team’s KPI targets are set, tracked, and consistently updated in CRM for full visibility
- Monitor sales leads performance in and out
- Ensure accurate planning and execution of sales visits, from visit scheduling to final call reports and opportunity updates
- Keep updated service regulation, service launching & changing to educate customer
- Identify potential new opportunities
- Lead, coach, and develop the branch sales team through regular performance reviews and structured coaching
- Ensure compliance with commercial policies, pricing governance, and internal controls
- Ensure branch activities are aligned with country strategies
- Build a strong customer‑centric and performance‑driven culture within the branch
- Office administrative of the branch
- Good communicator: the staff will demonstrate an ability to communicate effectively (written and verbal) with stakeholders to detail tasks assigned
- Team player: the staff must be a team player, fostering strong working relationships with colleagues to achieve collective success
- Customer‑focused: the staff should maintain a customer‑focused mindset
- Bachelor’s degree with 10 years of experience in carrier sales, customer service or related experience
- Experience in the maritime industry preferred
- Able to communicate in English, both verbal and written
- Proficient in M365
