We are looking for an experienced Automotive Finance Director who can lead our F&I department, elevate performance, and maintain a customer friendly, compliant, and professional finance process. Total compensation range: $100,000 to $175,000 annually
, based on experience, performance, and dealership results.
The Automotive Finance Director is responsible for overseeing all Finance and Insurance operations, driving profitability, maintaining strict compliance standards, and delivering a seamless customer experience from sales to funding.
This role partners closely with the General Manager and Sales Leadership to develop strong deal structures, improve product penetration, and build a high performing, ethical F&I team.
ResponsibilitiesDrive F&I Performance
Lead all finance and insurance operations with a focus on profitability, compliance, and customer satisfaction
Structure deals that balance customer needs with dealership performance goals
Improve product penetration, gross, and funding efficiency through coaching and process refinement
Maintain strong relationships with lenders to secure competitive programs and approvals
Train, mentor, and motivate F&I staff to deliver consistent, high quality results
Build a culture of accountability, professionalism, and customer first service
Support sales leadership with deal flow, desking strategy, and closing support
Ensure every deal meets federal, state, and local regulatory requirements
Maintain clean, audit ready documentation and funding processes
Promote ethical selling practices that protect customers and the dealership
Ensure a smooth transition from sales to finance
Present financing and protection products clearly and professionally
Resolve escalated customer concerns with empathy and professionalism
Proven success as an F&I Manager
Strong understanding of automotive lending, compliance, and F&I product sales
Leadership skills with the ability to coach, develop, and hold teams accountable
Excellent communication and customer service instincts
High integrity and commitment to ethical business practices
Must be coachable, teachable, trainable, and most of all a Team Player.
Experience in a rural or community driven dealership environment
Collaborative leadership style suited for a tight knit team
Bilingual abilities are a plus, but not required
