SalaryUp to $60,531.46
Position DescriptionUnder general supervision, provide direct preventative clinical services, assessing health status of individuals, families, and populations, and provide nursing case management and health education as necessary.
Responsibilities- Monitor and assess health status of individuals, families, and populations and define a plan of care including nurse case management and health education in areas such as family planning, sexually transmitted diseases, tuberculosis, women, infants and children, immunizations, adult health and general child health.
- Collaborate with other professionals in health care management, including offering in‑services to community partners to provide health promotion and education.
- Provide direction or guidance to non‑licensed personnel to ensure quality care.
- Develop and implement nursing interventions, evaluate health resources, and deliver professional nursing care in assigned units, clinics, homes or other settings.
- Educate individuals, families, communities and health care team members on disease prevention and health promotion.
- Delegate tasks safely to others, consistent with educational preparation and Oklahoma Nursing Practice Act.
- Assure quality health care using record review, peer review, direct observation, and outcome assessment.
- Perform specialized nursing functions as educationally prepared.
- Be present at the office; other duties as assigned.
- Valid Oklahoma registered nurse license approved by the Oklahoma Board of Nursing or registered nursing license recognized by the Enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact.
- One year of professional nursing experience, or a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and a valid permanent Oklahoma license.
- Willingness and ability to perform required job‑related travel.
- Valid driver’s license.
Work primarily in an office setting with climate control; requires standing, walking, reaching, and long periods of sitting with use of computers and phones. Must provide examinations 80% of the time and may be exposed to communicable diseases, bodily fluids, toxic substances, and medications. Use of N‑95 respirator required.
