Applicants may indicate an interest in part-time positions for Northwest Mississippi Community College for all campus locations:
Senatobia (Main Campus), Oxford, and Desoto.
MANDATORY: A Master's Degree with a minimum of eighteen (18) graduate hours in the specific subject area is required.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Teaches courses related to subject matter.
* Prepare, administer, and grade periodic tests, assignments, and/or program assessment data.
* Maintain a student attendance record as required by the Mississippi Community College Board.
* Demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills.
* Attends adjunct faculty meetings and professional development workshops and training.
* Performs all other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
* Ability to take initiative to solve problems.
* Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
* Experience using technology including email, word processing, spreadsheet, database, presentation software, and Internet use.
* Strong interpersonal skills to interact tactfully and courteously with students, faculty, staff, and the general public.
* Ability to collaborate with others and work as part of a team.
* Demonstrate oral and written communication skills to interact with a wide range of diverse individuals.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:
While performing the duties of this job, the Instructor regularly required to do the following:
* Travel between campuses and a flexible schedule may be required, including some evenings, weekends, and extended hours to meet department needs.
* Stand for long periods
* Talk, hear, view, and assist students
* Communicate with others in person, telephone, zoom, & live chat
* Sit, use hands to handle or feel, and reach with hands and arms
* Stand, walk, stoop, or kneel
* Occasionally lift and/or move items of at least 15-20 pounds
