This Position reports to:
Quality Control Manager
Your role and responsibilities
In this role, you will ensure product and service reliability by managing supplier performance. You will collaborate with suppliers, conduct audits, and drive corrective actions for continuous improvement. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will establish and maintain robust supplier quality processes.
The work model for this role is: onsite.
This role is contributing to the EL Smart Power division in Senatobia, MS.
You will be mainly accountable for:
- Build and maintain strong supplier relationships to ensure alignment with quality standards.
- Conduct regular audits and assessments of supplier quality systems and compliance with specifications.
- Ensure suppliers meet regulatory and industry requirements.
- Define, communicate, and enforce quality standards and specifications.
- Develop and implement supplier quality assurance processes and KPIs.
- Maintain accurate documentation of audits, corrective actions, and performance reports.
- Collaborate with suppliers to resolve quality issues through corrective and preventive actions.
- Perform thorough root cause analyses to prevent recurrence.
- Integrate quality considerations with cross-functional teams (procurement, engineering, manufacturing).
- Drive initiatives to enhance product quality, reliability, and process efficiency.
- Support Continuous Improvement at Supplier sites and other improvement programs.
- Work closely with suppliers to implement process improvements and efficiency gains.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical or Industrial desired) with 0-2 years of manufacturing experience. Master's degree is preferred.
- Strong understanding of quality management systems and Lean Six Sigma methodologies.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to monitor and report supplier performance (KPIs), quality issues and development actions.
- Ability to travel 40%-50%.
- Proficiency in Spanish is a plus.
- Open to sponsorship.
