Your role and responsibilities

As the Plant Manager (or Manufacturing Unit Manager) for the Senatobia, MS Electrification Smart Power facility, you will manage all aspects related to operations of the local manufacturing unit, including the full scope of Production, Engineering, Procurement, Quality, Operational Excellence, and Logistics. Each day, you will ensure achievement of established targets, overseeing progress and defining improvement actions as needed. You will champion a customer‑focused, safety‑minded, and success‑driven culture, fostering collaboration, employee engagement, and continuous improvement across all functions.

Candidates for this role need to be able to work a daily schedule onsite in the Senatobia, MS facility (). Domestic relocation assistance would be available for the ideal candidate.

This role contributes to the Electrification Smart Power division. Total scope of employees under indirect management for this position exceeds 1,000, with a team of around a dozen onsite operations leaders as direct reports.

You will be mainly accountable for
  • Strategy:
    Responsible for developing business action plans for the Senatobia Plant aligned with company objectives.
  • Performance targets:
    Ensure achievement of established targets, through oversight and definition of improvement actions as needed. Focus on operating cash flow, develop programs, projects, goals, and metrics to lead the organization to the highest level of operational performance while optimising working capital throughout operations. Ensure a value‑chain perspective to meet customer expectations on quality, service levels and lead time and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Customer satisfaction:
    Deliver operational/project targets (e.g., ROTD, lead time, quality) to improve net promoted score (NPS). Ensure manufacturing resources implement improvements that address issues identified through Customer Care Resolution Process (CCRP), internal transactional partnership survey (ITPS), Top 5 Quality Initiatives (T5QI), and other voice‑of‑customer initiatives.
  • People leadership and development:
    Ensure the area of responsibility is properly organised, staffed and directed. Build an effective, capable and high‑performing organization. Develop talent, appoint managers and review effectiveness.
Qualifications for the role
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering required;
    Master’s/MBA strongly preferred.
  • 7+ years of experience leading in Operations (preferred), Manufacturing and/or Production.
  • Related industry experience strongly preferred (electrification, solar, energy, automotive, etc.).
  • Strong leadership skills at a high level for general plant operations and mentoring/coaching experience in developing direct reports.
  • Fluency in English required;
    Italian is a plus for international collaboration.
  • Ability to maintain standard/minimal business travel (5‑10%).
  • Candidates must already possess work authorization to work for ABB in the US.
