Internal Logistics Supervisor
SummaryThe Material Handler is responsible for managing the efficient flow of materials between the warehouse, supermarket, and production lines. This role ensures that materials are available when needed, inventory is accurate, and the work area is well-organized following lean manufacturing and 5S principles.
Key Responsibilities Kanban & Supermarket Management- Receive materials from the warehouse and transfer them to the Supermarket (SM) area.
- Move materials from the Supermarket to the line-side rack as per production needs.
- Monitor missing materials and coordinate with the warehouse team for timely replenishment.
- Conduct weekly cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy.
- Prepare and return excess or unused materials back to the warehouse.
- Maintain bin labeling for easy identification and proper material organization.
- Manage empty bins efficiently to ensure a continuous material flow.
- Follow and maintain 5S principles to ensure a clean, organized, and efficient workspace.
- Take responsibility for API (Automated Process Improvement) in the Supermarket area.
- Adhere to safety protocols to maintain a secure working environment and prevent accidents.
- Experience in material handling, warehouse operations, or production logistics.
- Basic understanding of Kanban and supermarket management.
- Ability to lift and move materials as required for the role.
- Strong attention to detail to ensure inventory accuracy and organization.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Basic knowledge of inventory control and material flow processes.
- Understanding of 5S principles and workplace organization.
- Experience with Kanban systems in a manufacturing or warehouse setting.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing and Just-In-Time (JIT) practices.
- Forklift or material handling equipment certification (if applicable).
