Shipping and Receiving Lead

We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Shipping & Receiving Lead to support daily shipping, receiving, and order fulfillment operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for coordinating shipments, preparing shipping paperwork, operating forklifts, loading flatbed and box trucks, maintaining shipment accuracy, and serving as a lead contact within the shipping department.

Key responsibilities include:

* Overseeing daily shipping and receiving activities

* Printing pick sheets and shipment paperwork (BOLs, packing slips, etc.)

* Loading and verifying customer orders

* Operating propane sit-down forklifts and other mobile equipment

* Supporting inventory control and warehouse organization

* Training team members and promoting safe work practices

* Leading safety meetings and supporting 5S initiatives

* Communicating with office personnel, drivers, and warehouse staff to ensure smooth operations

Qualifications

* High School Diploma or GED required

* 2-5 years of shipping/warehouse experience preferred

* Prior leadership experience preferred

* Forklift experience required

* Experience with shipping systems, ERP systems, or warehouse software preferred

* Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills

* Commitment to safety and attention to detail

Schedule is typically 40 hours per week with overtime and weekend hours as business needs require.
