• Preparation of reports for sentencing and performance of all aspects of supervision related to adult and juvenile offenders under the jurisdiction of the District Court.
• Supervise a caseload of adult and juvenile offenders. Document all contacts, verify payments and balances owed to the District Court.
• Compile monthly statistics and verify completions of all court ordered conditions of probation.
• Prepare pre-sentence investigation reports and criminal history reports in both adult and juvenile cases. Correspondence with other agencies and the public.
• Testify in Court as needed and perform any additional duties as required by the Chief Court Services Officer or the Court.

• Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major course work in criminal justice, social sciences or behavioral sciences.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

• Strong verbal and written communication skills and attention to detail.
• Interpersonal skills are required with the ability to interact respectfully with both clients and stakeholders.
• Knowledge of best practices in probation/ pretrial supervision is preferred.
• A familiarity working with justice-involved clients experiencing trauma, mental health, and/or substance use is preferred.

A minimum of one year of experience in one or more of the following within the past five years:

• Conducting interviews
• Writing formal reports
• Working with justice-involved individuals
• Working with clients with substance abuse and/or mental health issues

If employed by Court Services, the new employee will be required to pass a fingerprint-based background check within the first 30 days of employment. The new employee will also be required to obtain LS/CMI, WRNA, LSI-R/YLS, EPIC’s Certification through the Court-approved process.
