The Residences at Seneca
, a division of Medical Services of America, Inc., currently seeks an experienced full-time Assisted Living Facility Clinical Nurse for our residents in Seneca, SC.
As a member of the facility's management team the Resident Services Director is responsible overseeing and assisting with the delivery of resident services. Assists with scheduling and training of nursing staff and resident assistants.
- Provides training and oversight to staff in the provision of medication assistance, medication training, health monitoring, infection control, and assistance with health-related task.
- Conducts regular quality assurance reviews and audits of staff documentation as it relates to medication administration, documents findings, and shares information with Executive Director.
- Conducts weekly audits of Med Carts to ensure proper medication administration.
- Conducts weekly audits of stored medications (over flow and PRN meds) to ensure they are labeled properly, not expired, and re-fills are requested.
- conducts resident health assessments are required.
- Monitors the status of resident health conditions and initiates action in response to changing needs. Conducts re‑assessments as indicated.
- Makes medical appointments for residents and assists with their transportation to and from appointments.
- Provides health counseling/education to residents as needed.
- Performs TB tests for residents and staff as needed.
- Assists with medication administration.
- Reports significant resident changes to appropriate individuals.
- Maintains current medical records and ensures they comply with regulatory guidelines.
- Performs necessary clinical duties such compliance with physician orders, Medication Administration Records (MARs), etc.
- Participates in the service planning and review process with resident families/responsible parties.
- Works closely with the Resident Director in creating staffing schedules.
- Assists with the recruitment, training, evaluating, and discipline of Resident Assistants.
- Keeps the Executive Director informed on all matters and issues.
- Maintains up-to-date knowledge of state regulations.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Valid SC LPN license required.
- Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing required.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Senior Care or Assisted Living setting required.
- Minimum of 1 year experience in a supervisory capacity required.
- Must be knowledgeable of SC DPH's Community Residential Care regulations.
- Thorough knowledge of SC DPH's Medication Management regulations.
