- Nuclear power plant experience
- Experience performing Cyber Security Direct and Indirect Assessments for CDAs
- Critical Digital Asset (CDA) assessment, documentation, and walkdown experience
- Knowledge of AD-EG-ALL-1931 documentation processes
- Experience performing baseline documentation and CCS sheet completion
- Familiarity with EZ-Auditor or similar data collection tools
- Experience extracting information from SIEM, IDS, and baseline reports

Day-to-Day:
- Support Digital Engineering and Operational Support Engineering teams on modernization projects
- Execute virtualization initiatives in OT environments
- Migrate legacy control systems to modern infrastructure platforms
- Support systems utilizing Modbus, OPC UA, and OPC DA communications
- Perform cybersecurity assessments and technical reviews
- Develop and maintain technical documentation and baseline configurations
- Conduct system walkdowns and asset inventories
- Perform vulnerability scans and cybersecurity hardening activities
- Troubleshoot, maintain, and patch OT systems and cybersecurity equipment
- Coordinate project activities across engineering and cybersecurity teams
- Gather and analyze data from system baselines, security monitoring tools, and network devices
- Support audits, inspections, and remediation efforts
- Perform system backups and recovery documentation
- Provide technical recommendations on cybersecurity controls and architecture
- Participate in after-hours support rotations when needed
- Review cybersecurity standards, policies, and industry guidance
- Conduct testing and validation activities on digital systems
Job Description:
Insight Global is seeking a Cyber Security / IT-OT Subject Matter Expert for a leading utilities client supporting enterprise Digital Engineering and Operational Technology modernization initiatives. This individual will play a key role in executing virtualization strategies, migrating legacy control systems to modern infrastructure, and supporting cybersecurity efforts across critical industrial environments. The ideal candidate will bring strong experience working with OT systems, industrial protocols such as Modbus, OPC UA, and OPC DA, and hands‑on expertise supporting infrastructure modernization projects.
This role will partner closely with engineering, cybersecurity, and operational teams to drive technology upgrades, improve system reliability, strengthen cybersecurity posture, and support innovative digital transformation initiatives across critical power generation environments.
Compensation:
$50/hr to $76/hr.
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
