We are a premier, full-service resort marina serving boat owners and guests on Lake Keowee. Our facility includes boat rentals, storage, service & repair, detail, retail, consignment boat sales and concierge-level support.
We are seeking an experienced Marine Service Manager to lead and elevate our service department as a high-performing, customer-focused operation.
This is a leadership role for someone who understands that great service is more than repairs - it’s communication, accountability, efficiency, and long-term customer trust.
Position OverviewThe Marine Service Manager will oversee daily operations of the service department, including technicians, parts, detail, general service workflow, quality control, and customer communication.
This leader will be responsible for following and building structures, maintaining high standards, and driving consistent performance during both peak and off-season operations.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and support marine technicians and service team members
- Oversee scheduling, capacity planning, and seasonal workflow management
- Ensure accurate and complete work orders
- Conduct quality control checks prior to vessel delivery
- Monitor technician productivity and billable efficiency
- Support ethical upselling of needed services and parts
- Maintain proactive communication with customers
- Enforce and continuously improve standard operating procedures
- Collaborate with marina leadership to strengthen overall customer experience
- Experience in marine service management or senior-level marine technician leadership
- Strong knowledge of marine engines and systems (outboards, I/O, diagnostics)
- Organized and process-driven mindset
- Clear communicator with both customers and team members
- Comfortable using scheduling and CRM systems
- Financial awareness of labor rates, margins, and productivity metrics
- Ability to plan and manage seasonal demand
- Efficient scheduling and clear technician accountability
- Consistent quality inspections before delivery
- Strong customer follow-up and communication
