Certified Health School RN in Seneca, SC

A contract opportunity is available for a Registered Nurse to serve as a classroom nurse in a high school setting from February 19th through May 21st. This role involves providing specialized nursing care to two students, with a focus on medical needs related to mobility and respiratory support. Candidates must hold a current RN license.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver daily nursing care to two high school students, including one student who uses a wheelchair and one who does not
• Manage care requirements involving gastrostomy tubes (G-tube) and provide support for students with ventilators, with preferred experience in these areas
• Monitor and respond to students' health needs promptly and effectively
• Collaborate with educators and school staff to ensure a safe and supportive learning environment
• Maintain accurate health records and documentation per school and healthcare guidelines

Qualifications:

• Active RN license is required
• Experience working in school nursing or pediatric nursing preferred
• Familiarity with G-tube and ventilator care is strongly desired
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple responsibilities in a classroom setting
• Certified and licensed to practice nursing in the state is necessary
