Materials Associate - 3rd Shift Warehouse
The Materials Associate is responsible for receiving, shipping, and storing materials to support production operations. The role requires careful handling of materials, accurate reporting of all material relocations, and the safe operation of material handling equipment.
Job Responsibilities- Load and unload materials; receive and verify contents against Pack Lists, count and weigh parts, and contact buying team when discrepancies occur.
- Pick parts for shipment and package according to shipping procedures.
- Operate pallet jacks, forklifts, order‑pickers, and dollies to move products to required locations.
- Issue materials to departments, transacting inventory quantities and delivering parts to work areas.
- Monitor inventory, report quantity discrepancies to the team leader, and assist with cycle counting.
- Replenish, rotate, combine stock where needed, and transfer parts between bin locations using the Company Operation System.
- Prepare and package parts for shipping, ensuring adherence to FIFO standards.
- Support 5S and housekeeping activities.
- Use deviation areas and hold tags to process defective parts through nonconforming material procedures.
- Load/unload materials into trailers, following dock safety protocols.
- Meet physical logistics KPIs and demonstrate teamwork and engagement.
- Wear required PPE and follow box‑cutting safety protocols.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Physical Requirements
- Stand for extended periods, including during operation of stand‑up lifts.
- Lifting up to 35 lbs repeatedly and performing stooping, kneeling, and pushing tasks.
- Walk long distances and step up/down from lifts.
- Work in a fast‑paced and non‑climate‑controlled environment.
- Wear personal protective equipment and may occasionally work from heights.
- Operate forklifts, passenger vehicles, and industrial trucks as needed.
- Maintain good hand dexterity, hearing, vision, and ability to distinguish color.
- Be punctual and flexible to work overtime and holidays.

Education
:
High School diploma/GED or basic skills assessment required.
Experience
:
- 6 months experience in a fast‑paced industrial lean environment.
- Strong mechanical aptitude preferred.
- 1 year material handling experience in a distribution environment preferred.
- Prior experience with RF scanning.
- 1 year experience as a certified forklift operator or active license preferred.
- Ability to read, write, and differentiate numbers.
Computer Skills
:
- Experience with SAP or related warehouse management system preferred.
- Entry‑level MS Word and Excel proficiency.
