Our client located in Mississauga requires a Property Operations Administrator to join their team on a 12-month contract basis. The Property Operations Administrator will be responsible for ensuring accurate rent rolls and renewals, tenant profiles inclusive of rent and other charges, security deposits, and tenant payments. The role also ensures that operations staff follow revenue-related policies and procedures in line with applicable residential tenancy legislation.
This position will be fully in office based out of the Corporate Office in Mississauga.
Core Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate entry of lease documents, renewals, and tenant profile updates, including bank account information;
- Ensure all lease terms, including adjustments and renewals, are executed without error;
- Process monthly lease renewals;
- Support the Operations team with tenant inquiries regarding operating costs, realty taxes, and utility billings to maintain professional relationships;
- Work with the legal department to prepare collection packages;
- Prepare bank deposits for tenant payments;
- Prepare and maintain Above Guideline Increase (AGI), legislated rent reduction Excel schedules, and related tenant correspondence;
- Manage the end-to-end process of utility payments with tenants;
- Post NSF payments;
- Coordinate with Accounts Payable for the issuance of tenant cheques (e.g., rent or other refunds, deposit interest, etc.);
- Reconcile and maintain tenant ledgers, applying charges and credits as needed;
- Other tasks related to operations administration as assigned.
Required Skills and Experience
- Diploma in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a related field;
- Minimum 2 years in accounting or property administration;
- Experience in real estate or property management preferred but not required;
- Excellent Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel;
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills;
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
- Ability to work under tight deadlines, multi-task and prioritize
