Pay Range: $21.33 - $29.45
Union: UFCW 3000-Support Services
Shift Differentials/Premiums:
- Evening - $3.00/hour
- Night - $5.00/hour
- Weekend - $4.50/hour
Premiums:
- Standby - $3.50/hour
- Lead - $3.25/hour
- Per Diem - 15% (on base, in lieu of benefits)
Job Description:
The Customer Service Representative in the Heart Center performs tasks necessary to promote efficient departmental functions and operations. This position is responsible for daily activities, including but not limited to patient scheduling, timely and accurate entering of data into multiple computer systems, verifying insurance coverage and obtaining authorization for services, preparing charts, faxing and disposition of medical records, readying patients for their visits per department protocols, and assisting with answering phones and patient registration.
The Customer Service Representative provides backup coverage for other clerical staff members in their absence.
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Experience:
- 1-year minimum experience as Customer Service Assistant required with OMC or equivalent as determined by OMC.
- Knowledge of medical terminology required.
- Completed required training for and has the ability to work at all Heart Center locations.
Licensure/Credentials:
Medical Assistant certificate preferred.
