JSS Psychiatric Medical Director

Jamestown Salish Seasons, a 16-bed voluntary Evaluation and Treatment (E&T) facility providing 24/7 high-acuity behavioral health and crisis stabilization services, is seeking a Psychiatric Medical Director to provide executive clinical leadership and oversight of psychiatric and medical services.

This is a full-time, onsite position requiring 40 hours per week. The schedule is Monday–Thursday or Tuesday–Friday, based on operational needs. The Psychiatric Medical Director provides clinical leadership and oversight while ensuring consistent, high-quality psychiatric and medical services within a 24/7 behavioral health environment.

The Psychiatric Medical Director establishes and leads the clinical vision, psychiatric standards, and medical governance framework for the facility, ensuring services are safe, effective, culturally grounded, patient-centered, and aligned with evidence-based practices and organizational standards.

This role provides clinical leadership for psychiatric providers, the Nursing Manager, and medical support personnel while overseeing medical programming, regulatory compliance, quality assurance, and performance improvement initiatives. The Psychiatric Medical Director partners closely with the Jamestown Salish Seasons Executive Director and interdisciplinary leadership team to support safe, effective, and responsive 24/7 operations.

The Psychiatric Medical Director may provide direct patient care, including psychiatric intake assessments and clinical consultation, as needed.

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry.
• Experience in psychiatric leadership within acute, inpatient, or crisis stabilization settings.
• Experience working with Tribal communities.
• American Indian/Alaska Native preference applies.

• Must be available to work any shift, including all hours, weekends, on-call, and holidays as job duties require.
• Must be able to lift, push, and carry up to 25 lbs. unassisted.
• Physical ability to access all areas of the property applicable to your position.
• Must be able to withstand prolonged standing, sitting, walking, bending, climbing, squatting, and twisting without restriction.
• Requires eye/hand coordination and manual dexterity; ability to distinguish letters, numbers, and symbols.
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced, busy, and somewhat stressful environment and maintain physical stamina and proper mental attitude while dealing effectively with patients, management, team members, and outside contacts while working under pressure and meeting deadlines.
