Overview

This award-winning Level III Trauma Center located in Northwestern Washington welcomes a Surgical Services RN Educator to advance clinical excellence across Perioperative Services and Central Sterile departments. The role supports the workforce in achieving competency standards, facilitates onboarding, and enhances professional development within a team‑oriented culture focused on continuous learning.

• Collaborate with Perioperative Services leadership and departmental managers to assess educational needs and align staff development initiatives with departmental priorities.
• Partner with clinical leaders, nursing staff, and sterile processing professionals to ensure competency standards are met and educational goals remain aligned with departmental priorities.
• Serve as a resource for onboarding, ongoing training, and professional growth throughout the department.
• Plan, coordinate, implement, and evaluate educational programs designed to strengthen clinical knowledge and professional competency.
• Oversee orientation programs and track competency completion for new hires.
• Support annual skills validation processes.
• Coordinate education related to new equipment and assist with yearly education planning.
