Polysomnographic Technologist, Certified

Job Description

The Polysomnographic Technologist II performs comprehensive polysomnography in accordance with OMC’s Sleep Center policies and procedures, and the American Academy of Sleep Medicine (AASM) guidelines.

• Successful completion of an accredited educational program leading to an associate degree with an emphasis in polysomnography OR
• Successful completion of a polysomnography program of no less than one year’s duration, associated with a state-licensed and/or a nationally accredited educational facility OR
• Equivalent experience and documented proficiency at all competencies required of a Polysomnographic Technologist

18 months’ experience in polysomnography preferred

• Certification (and maintenance of certification) by the American Board of Sleep Medicine (ABSM) as a Registered Sleep Technologist (RST) OR
• Equivalent registration by the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists as a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT)
• Current BLS certification

  • Per Diem: 15% (on base, in lieu of benefits)
  • Certification: $2.00/hour
  • Trainer: $2.00/hour
  • Student Coord: $2.00/hour, 2+ = $3.25/hour
