Mental Health Counselor
Jamestown Healing Clinic is seeking a compassionate and skilled Mental Health Counselor to provide assessment, counseling, case management, and crisis intervention services. This role delivers comprehensive individual and group therapy within an integrated care setting that includes primary care, dental, behavioral health, and opioid use disorder treatment. You will collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team to support whole-person care and patient well-being.
Full-time, 40 hours per week:
Monday–Friday 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM or Monday–Friday 5:30 AM – 2:00 PM
- Works with a multidisciplinary treatment team to identify and meet patient needs through the treatment planning process
- Conducts intake assessments, completes documentation, and provides diagnoses using the DSM-5
- Provides individual, family, and group therapy for co-occurring disorders
- Develops treatment plans for patients with dual diagnoses
- Maintains timely and accurate documentation including treatment goals, crisis plans, and progress notes
- Facilitates psycho educational and ongoing therapy groups
- Adheres to all JHC policies and procedures, including safety standards and HIPAA
- Performs other duties as assigned by leadership
- Master's degree in a mental health discipline
- LMHC, LMHCA, LMFT, LMFTA, LASW, or LICSW with unrestricted Washington State license
- Minimum of two (2) years of mental health treatment experience
- Knowledge of human behavior, psychological research methods, and treatment of behavioral and affective disorders
- Experience working with patients with substance use disorders and ability to apply harm-reduction strategies
- Understanding of cross-cultural care, trauma-informed practices, and regulations including 42 CFR
- Strong communication, organization, time management, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to pass a criminal background check and meet vaccine requirements
- CPR/First Aid Certification or ability to obtain upon hire
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point
- Ability to travel locally and regionally as needed
- Valid Washington State driver's license
- Knowledge of administrative operations, personnel management, and compliance
- Experience working with dually diagnosed patients and comfortable with the ASAM assessment.
- SUDP and LMHC State license preferred.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
