JOB DESCRIPTION:
Applies sonography safely to patients for diagnostic purposes upon the request of a physician. Also works under the supervision of the interpreting physicians for cardiac sonography.
EDUCATION Completion of an accredited cardiac sonography program.
EXPERIENCETwo years previous experience in adult transthoracic, stress (exercise and dobutamine), transesophageal (TEE) cardiac ultrasound preferred. Hospital setting preferred.
LICENSURE/CREDENTIALSCredentialed or eligible for credentialing through American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI).
