Patient Care Coordinator, Walk-In Clinic

• Provides excellent customer service by employing OMC’s C.A.R.E. standards
• Ensures providers orders are processed, authorized, and scheduled as necessary
• Works with multiple departments to coordinate diagnostic testing and medical care
• Responsible for understanding the authorization process and obtaining prior authorization
• Coordinates health information between departments and caregivers under HIPAA laws
• Documents patient care into electronic health record in a timely manner

• Associates Degree in healthcare or business preferred
• Two years of experience working in a health care setting
• Demonstrated excellence in customer service and patient care skills
• Prior experience with insurance authorizations and Epic preferred

Demonstrates expertise in customer service and patient care within a healthcare setting, with a strong understanding of the authorization process and proficiency in electronic health record documentation.
