- Administer end-to-end employee benefits processes including new hire enrollments, qualifying life event changes, and terminations.
- Conduct benefit orientation and provide ongoing employee support for benefit questions and coverage navigation.
- Maintain accurate benefits records, eligibility tracking, and required documentation.
- Ensure timely communication and resolution of employee benefit issues in coordination with vendors and internal teams.
- Provide day-to-day operational support of the organization s self-funded health plan, coordinating with carriers, brokers, third-party administrators, and other benefit partners.
- Monitor plan administration activity and escalate trends, issues, or complex cases to HR leadership as needed.
- Partner with HR leadership and brokers by providing operational insight and input during plan reviews and decision-making discussions (does not design benefit plans).
- Coordinate and administer FMLA and other leave programs, including tracking, documentation, employee communications, and benefit status changes during leave.
- Support benefits-related compliance by maintaining accurate records and documentation aligned with internal policies, applicable regulations and timely filing.
- Review, process, and reconcile benefits invoices, resolving discrepancies with providers and internal stakeholders.
- Audit and update payroll deductions and benefit settings within payroll/HRIS systems to ensure accuracy and timely processing.
- Support ongoing reconciliation and issue resolution related to benefits deductions, eligibility, and self-funded plan administration.
- Administer life insurance enrollments, updates, and terminations and support employee questions and required processing.
- Assist with administration of other assigned benefit programs and related employee communications.
