This is an on-site contract role for a Domestic Violence Civil Attorney located in Sequim, WA. The attorney will provide legal services to clients who have experienced domestic violence. Responsibilities include offering legal advice, conducting legal research, representing clients in court hearings, and providing negotiation and advocacy for civil cases pertaining to domestic violence. The attorney will also collaborate with partner organizations and conduct outreach to raise awareness about available legal services.
Qualifications- Comprehensive knowledge and experience in Law and Labor and Employment Law
- Strong ability to provide Legal Advice and conduct thorough Legal Research
- Proficient in Negotiation and advocating for clients in legal proceedings
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to compassionately assist vulnerable individuals
- Juris Doctorate (JD) degree and membership in the State Bar Association
- Experience in domestic violence cases or other related legal areas is a strong advantage
