Position: MMU Transportation Driver / Security Guard
## Description The Jamestown Healing Clinic (JHC) MMU Driver and Security Officer will work as part of a mobile unit healthcare team that provides Opiate Treatment Program (OTP) services in rural and underserved communities in Clallam County, Washington. This position operates on a four-day work week, Monday through Thursday, from 5:00 AM to 3:30 PM. This role has a dual responsibility to ensure the safety of the JHC employees and patients receiving services from the Mobile Medication Unit (MMU), while also driving the MMU (an RV site unit) to remote rural locations in Clallam County and back to the physical OTP site in Sequim each day.###

** Essential Functions
*** Transporting staff and medications to and from various locations in a safe and timely manner. This includes driving the mobile medication unit and assisting patients with boarding and disembarking from the unit.
* Maintaining a clean and organized mobile medication unit. This includes cleaning the unit, restocking supplies, and ensuring the unit is in good working order.
* Performing basic medical tasks as needed, such as observing and obtaining urine specimens from patients of the same gender. This includes following all safety and security procedures.
* Report any incidents, delays, or safety concerns to the appropriate point of contact immediately. This includes any accidents, injuries, or security breaches.
* Ensure passengers uphold all safety rules and expectations, including child safety rules.
* Respect and protect patient confidence and confidentiality by keeping all sensitive and patient information private.
* Uphold all safety and security measures to protect against harassment, threats or violence towards patients and employees of the MMU.
* Communicate with tact and diplomacy to help diffuse a heated situation.
* Maintain all security checks needed to ensure the MMU is secure after operating hours.
* Monitor surveillance camera; patrol and monitor areas both inside and outside MMU.
* Follow and enforce all rules set forth for mobile unit and OTP safety from DEA, SAMHSA, and WA DOH.
* Communicate with JHC Security and Transportation Departments at physical OTP location in Sequim, WA.
* Cross-cover at physical OTP location in Sequim for driving patient transportation vehicles or security department.
* Other duties as assigned. This may include providing customer service, assisting with inventory, or participating in on-going training.
* Adhere to all JHC policies and procedures, including but not limited to standards for safety, and work practices as described in the Occupational Exposure Control Plan, 42 CFR, and HIPAA.###
** Job Requirements
*** 21 years of age or older.
* High School diploma or GED.
* Extremely reliable and punctual for all assigned shifts.
* Complete driver’s abstract history from Washington DOL with five (5) years of verifiable driving experience; good driving record.
* One (1) year experience in medical/para transport, passenger transport, emergency vehicle operation, or relevant position i.e., military experience.
* Comfortable transporting patients traveling with children.
* Ability to secure child safety seats in accordance with Washington State Law.
* Comfortable driving in harsh weather conditions.
* Extensive knowledge of all traffic and highway safety rules and precautions to avoid accidents.
* Knowledge of relevant equipment, policies, procedures, and strategies to promote effective security operations for the protection of people, data, and property while operating a motor vehicle.
* Ability to maintain professional composure when dealing with unusual circumstances.
* Comfortable with transporting patients who are in recovery from substance use disorders, who have mental health disorders, or who are experiencing homelessness.
* Effective communication; written, verbal, and interpersonal skills, including conflict resolution.
* Knowledge of, and culturally sensitive to, the challenges of the patients at the JHC.
* Maintain and ensure patient confidentiality.
* Effective time management, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
* Demonstrate initiative, work independently with little supervision.
* Must be able to successfully pass criminal background check investigation.
* Valid Washington State Driver’s License: ability to travel locally and regionally as assigned.
