The Bar & Cocktail Supervisor will ensure the efficient running of the lounge's bar operations and the continued profitability of the lounge for the benefit of all guests. 7 Cedars Casino is looking for a Bar & Cocktail Supervisor!
We're looking for someone with bartending experience who's ready to take their skills to the next level and help lead our bar & cocktail operations. If you know your cocktails, can handle a busy bar, and are ready to step into a leadership role, we want to meet you!

Essential Functions
Teamwork – Employee Coaching
- Facilitate employee relationships and enforce policies and job duties; utilizing the worksheets for coaching, conflict resolution & work expectations.
- Monitor and assist F&B Supervisors with service assessments, Cedar Sessions, annual evaluations, 90-day evaluations for select employees assigned & scheduling issues.
- Hire, coach, discipline, and train to achieve set standards for each position in F&B using Path 4 & Job Training notebook reviews for new employees first week or if new F&B job added to current duties.
- Maintain a productive climate and motivate employees to meet performance standards in a positive manner.
- Work with F&B Manager & Director to produce schedule in timely manner with fair treatment of all employees and assist with writing weekly work schedules based on the guidelines and budget for that outlet.
- Make staffing adjustments as necessary, based on the volume of business and budgeted labor percentages.
- Maintain employee logs & Supervisor logs to keep Supervisors/Managers up to date on issues, training needs or customer issues.
Bar & Cocktail Operations & Duties
- Understand and properly evaluate inventory of liquor, beer, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages.
- Monitor ordering and control of all beverage stocks; working with Entertainment & Spirits Manager for beer, hard alcohol and FOH Supervisor responsible for ordering wine & our vendors for non-alcoholic beverages.
- Arrange appropriate staffing of the bar to meet the requirements of the service.
- Provide back-up behind the bar when necessary.
- Assist in monthly alcoholic beverage inventory.
- May assist with creating & maintaining Bar & Cocktail promotional materials using Microsoft Office programs & coordinating sales promotions of bar food and drinks.
- Take positive action to meet department objectives and targets.
- Input new ideas for service and products to maintain competitive and leading edge.
- Oversee cash and stock control consistently according to company policy.
Communication – Data Collection – Other Duties
- Hold meetings with the Team Members to improve daily communication regarding, changes, specials, promotions, service steps etc.
- Monitor customer counts, sales trends to recommend new items, adjust schedules or training needs to improve operations.
- Review and evaluate data for accuracy and completeness.
- Maintain a productive climate and motivates employees to meet performance standards.
- Responsible for the timely completion of performance appraisals for designated team members.
- Must exercise confidentiality and discretion on a daily basis.
- Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned.
- Must follow all safety rules and regulations.
- Follow all general and department policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required
- Previous bar experience a must, minimum 3-5 years
- Must possess outstanding interpersonal communications skills to effectively interface with guests and/or team members
- Strong organization, prioritization and multiple-tasking skills
- Highly analytical thinking with demonstrated talent for identifying, scrutinizing, improving, and streamlining work processes
- Innovative problem-solver who can generate workable solutions and resolve complaints
