Position: CRA Loan Officer at Citizens Seven Hills, OH

We are hiring talented CRA Loan Officers who proactively identify, develop and maintain a quality network of business relationships that serves as a source of referrals for new mortgage lending opportunities. External relationships are the cornerstone of generating new business and may include realtors, builders, professionals and personal contacts.

Loan Officers participate in business development opportunities, community efforts to promote home ownership, and professional organizations. You will interview new and existing customers to determine loan needs and advise on appropriate products, terms, and pricing, while gathering additional required information. You will generate complete mortgage applications, ensuring procedures and policies are followed while meeting sales goals and objectives.

Responsibilities
  • Close and fund a minimum of 3 CRA loans per month.
  • Maintain 60% of overall business as CRA eligible.
  • Create and maintain active involvement in organizations serving the LMI community in your designated market (committee or board member).
  • Activate community second programs ensuring necessary documentation is submitted to secondary for approval.
  • Conduct 6 homebuyer seminars per year.
  • Work closely with the Community Development Market manager in your market to participate in CRA related events (Housing Fairs, etc.). Be the CRA originations leader and serve as the CRA product expert in your market.
  • Volunteer to be on a board or committee of a not-for-profit. Participate in mortgage lunch and learns twice a year.
  • Schedule on-call days with Community Development Market managers (CDMMs) twice a year.
  • Work with Low and Moderate income branches in their MSA to educate on CRA mortgage products to generate referrals.
Qualifications
  • BA/BS degree or equivalent experience in residential mortgage sales preferred.
  • Three or more years of retail residential mortgage sales experience.
  • Documented residential mortgage loan volume in the past 12 months of at least $12 million.
  • Established relationships with local referral networks.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, verbally and in writing, across a variety of audiences.
  • Strong computer skills and experience with laptop technology.
  • Must meet and comply with all requirements of the SAFE Act, including successful completion of background checks and obtaining a Unique Identifier from the NMLS.
