Position: Field Service Engineer (Electric Vehicles)
Alexander James Recruiting is currently working with a well-established supplier of various types of electric vehicles and specialist lifting equipment who are looking for a new field-based service engineer to service their client base around the South East of England. With a competitive salary & overtime opportunity, this is a great opportunity for an experienced engineer from electric vehicles, material handling, sweepers or related sectors interested in a new role.

Responsibilities

Servicing a client base across the South East of England with a focus on servicing electric trucks, road vehicles, tuggers and other specialist vehicles
Fixing and servicing other, related material handling & specialist equipment
Ensuring excellent customer service and representing the company in the right way
Attending the workshop from time to time for meetings and training
Working closely with the service team in surrounding areas and management across the country
Staying away when necessary for work on larger projects Requirements

The company have a preference for an individual from a similar background either in electric vehicles or material handling background due to the requirements of the role. Given that they also supply cleaning equipment, they would also consider an individual from this sector as a possibility, as would individuals from other sectors with strong pneumatics experience. You will be able to work well on your initiative, have good customer facing skills and be willing to travel across the South East of England and further afield when required.

It is also essential that you hold a full UK driver’s license.
