We have a vacancy for a workshop-based HGV Technician, working at our depot on Platt Industrial Estate, Maidstone Road, Sevenoaks, TN15 8JL
. The role will entail working on a range of Commercial Vehicles including Tippers, Tipper/Grabs and Hotboxes ranging from 3.5T Towable Units to 32T Tipper/Grabs.
The successful candidate must:
Hold a full current drivers licence and class 2 HGV licence as a minimum (class 1 would be beneficial)
Hold qualifications in HGV/Commercials Mechanics to the equivalent of NVQ Level 3 / City of Guilds / Full Main Dealership Apprenticeship.
Duties will include but are not limited to:
Vehicle Diagnostics (using the latest Jal-Test vehicle diagnostic equipment)
Inspections and servicing
Repair of vehicle defects
MOT preparation
Preventative maintenance
Completion of compliance documentation
The role benefits from a service van (for business use only), fuel card, mobile phone and overalls. The working hours are from 07:00 to 16:30, with 20 days annual holiday plus statutory days.
