Clinical Teaching Fellow

We are seeking to appoint Clinical Teaching Fellows (CTFs) to support the ongoing delivery of the graduate entry MBChB programme within the Three Counties Medical School (TCMS) at the University of Worcester. The School’s MBChB curriculum is centred around problem‑based learning (PBL), active applied learning (e.g. simulation), with an emphasis on early patient contact and community‑orientated clinical placements. Founded with the aim of widening access to careers in medicine and retaining graduates in the local area, this is an exciting opportunity to be part of the team, which opened to students in September 2023.

Applications are invited for Clinical Teaching Fellows 0.4 FTE (2 days) in Anatomy, Physiology and Clinical Skills. These career‑development posts are at FY2/ST level and are designed to facilitate the learning of the next generation of doctors.

• Develop and deliver active learning sessions in the practical application of anatomy, physiology, and clinical skills, primarily for Phase 1 (years 1 & 2).
• Collaborate with a team of enthusiastic clinical educators and receive comprehensive training.
• Seek professional development opportunities, including support with gaining a teaching qualification.

• Registered with the GMC.
• Minimum of 2 years clinical experience after graduation from medical school.
• Strong interest in medical education and training.
• Willingness to work part‑time (less than full time).

The post is based at the Severn campus. It is a fixed‑term appointment of 6 months, with the possibility of extension for a second 12‑month period subject to satisfactory performance.
