Data Center Technician - Night Shift, ADC InfraOps DCO

AWS is looking for fully cleared Data Center Technicians to join our expanding Infrastructure Operations team. These technicians are responsible for troubleshooting and resolving a range of data center infrastructure issues, including hardware, fiber, networking, and related problems.

• Engage in physical data center activities such as planning, tracking capacity, rack deployment, cabling, hardware and software troubleshooting, and rack decommissioning.
• Lifting and moving material up to 49 pounds.
• Working in cramped and/or elevated locations.
• Bending, lifting, stretching, and reaching.
• Standing and walking for up to 8+ hours a day.
• Ascending and descending ladders, stairs, and gangways safely.
• Working in a noisy environment.
• Shifts longer than 8 hours to support 24/7 operations (covering night, day, weekend, and holiday shifts).
• Take ownership of technical issues brought by the customer base, engaging other teams when needed to drive resolution.
• Show a strong aptitude for troubleshooting and problem solving.
• Solve problems at the root and understand broader context.
• Maintain service level agreements through proactive issue detection and reporting.
• Act independently when direction or support is limited.
• Improve effectiveness through process innovation.

• High school or equivalent diploma, A+, CND (Certified Network Defender), Network+, or Security+.
• Must be a U.S. citizen.
• Current, active U.S. Government Security Clearance TS/SCI with Polygraph.

• Experience working in a data center environment (racking, stacking gear, cable management, hot/cold aisle containment).
• Hands‑on experience with one or more hardware platforms (e.g., Dell, HP).
• Networking experience with CCNA and/or Network+ certifications.
• Associate’s degree in an IT-related field plus two years of progressively responsible experience.

Starting pay: 33.00 – 58.00 USD hourly (USA, MD, Severn) – Final starting pay will be based on experience, qualifications, and location.
