Certified Medication Technician CMT – Full Time, Part-time or PRN/Per Diem.
Morningside House of Friendship is a leading assisted living and memory care community located in Hanover, MD. We are seeking Certified Medication Technicians (CMTs) to deliver medication and related care under nurse supervision.

Administer oral and topical medications to residents under physician orders, nurse supervision, and in accordance with state and federal regulations. Perform routine daily tasks required for residents' health, comfort, and well‑being.
Essential Responsibilities- Administer medications as ordered by a physician under the supervision of a licensed nurse, in accordance with all regulations and community policy.
- Demonstrate knowledge of the five rights of medication administration and record all medication given per resident chart.
- Take and record vital signs as assigned or required by certain medications.
- Use the computer system to enter and reference resident information for medication and treatment records.
- Observe and report any reactions or side effects to a licensed nurse immediately.
- Administer PRN medications in compliance with regulations and facility policy.
- Apply antiseptic techniques, maintain good hand hygiene, and practice universal precautions for infection control.
- Report and record any changes observed in resident condition, behavior, or unusual incidents.
- Submit incident or accident reports to supervisor or administrator within twenty‑four (24) hours of occurrence.
- Communicate with medical staff, nursing service, and other department supervisors.
- Supervise care staff in the absence of nurses.
- Maintain, clean, and organize the medication room.
- Collaborate with other department supervisors to plan resident activities.
- Attend required training, in‑service, and staff meetings.
- Handle hazardous chemicals and be aware of exposure to infectious waste, diseases, and conditions such as TB, AIDS, and Hepatitis
B. - Maintain resident and staff confidentiality, treating all with kindness, dignity, and respect.
- Comply with resident rights rules.
- A high school diploma or GED, or one to three months of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Certified Medication Aide certification required.
