Description:
This is a challenging and rewarding position with a mission to support the manufacturing of air and space-based RF systems in our Severn Operations of Lockheed Martin. This opportunity involves working closely with the Engineering and Manufacturing team to build prototypes, support New Product Integration (NPI) and productions builds.
1. Inspects purchased parts & materials for conformance to specifications. Examines items for defects in materials, work, and damage occurring in transit, inspects and measures items for dimensional accuracy, fit, alignment, and functional operation, according to prints, parts manuals, company standards, and other specifications
2. Reviews supplier certifications, packing slips test reports to insure compliance with Lockheed Martin flow down requirements
3. Identify, label, and document defective, damaged, or non-conforming materials.
4. Provide direct Quality Assurance ownership and oversite of Receiving Inspection labs. Aid in development and establishing metrics reporting structures.
5. Provides mentorship and training to personnel in support of new processes and use of equipment.
6. Participate in regular MRBs (material review board) to ensure nonconforming material/process is appropriately handled.
Basic Qualifications:
1. US Citizen. Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance. 2. 5+ years Quality Assurance experience in a Receiving Inspection environment
3. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and blueprints.
4. Good understanding of AS9100 standard and support with internal & external audits as required.
5. Proficiency in using precision measurement equipment (e.g., calipers, micrometers). 6. High level of accuracy in identifying defects and maintaining records.
7. Strong working knowledge of SAP ERP/MRP systems Desired
Skills:
1. Previous work experience in a Quality role in support of Aerospace, NASA and/or FAA programs.
2. Experience recommending and implementing quality improvements based on metrics. Identifying solutions related to materials, design, and equipment.
3. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
4. Ability to tailor level of effort based on customer requirements and expectations.
5. Works independently with limited supervision. Security Clearance Statement:

The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. Work Schedules:
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits. Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $67,900 - $119,715. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
